Camp Blackhawk is one of the oldest camps but has the newest facilities including a dining hall that was constructed in the early 80s. This camp is located on Big Blue Lake and has 24 campsites with in-site sanitary facilities. It has a segregated staff row with housing for 30 people. It has two shower houses and a camp trading post integral with the dining hall.

There is a separate field sports range for rifle, shotgun, black powder, and archery use. There is a Craft Lodge near the dining hall. The aquatic area is on the shore of Big Blue and includes the Steven Fossett Sailing Base.

The capacity of Camp Blackhawk is approximately 2,100 individuals over a six-week camping period.
